Good Wednesday morning. Making sympathy cards is not one of my favorite things to do but it is necessary on occasion. My project today was made using the new Impression Obsession Sympathy Word Block and embellished with a few Tiny Flowers. The block sentiment made this a fast and easy card to make.
I cut a white 4.50” x 3.50” rectangle layer of cardstock and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. I cut thin strips of mounting tape, applied it to the back of the word block and then attached it to the card base. I think the popped up white layer adds an element of interest to the card without distracting from the main focal point.
I used my stylus and molding pad to form several purple tiny flowers and attached them to the word block flourishes with glossy accents. I think they add a touch of softness to the sentiment. The popped sentiment was a little difficult to photograph because the letters caused a shadow on the background. The clean and simple card is far prettier in person.
