My project today was made with the new Chillin’ snowman and Tall Snowy Pine Tree

Chillin' Tall Snowy Pine Tree

I love making snowman cards and I couldn’t resist this little guy.  I thought he would be perfect on a card front with the Charlie Brown like Christmas tree in the background.  I stamped the tree on white cardstock with black versafine.  I sponged in a cloudy blue sky background and then applied green ink to the branches using a mini applicator.  I used a brown marker to color in the trunk. I applied Liquid Applique to the snowy spots on the tree, lightly tapped it  around with my finger to smooth out and heat embossed.

I stamped the snowman on white cardstock, colored his hat and scarf with markers and lightly watercolored on a light blue wash on his body.  I cut him so I could pop him up in front of the tree

I thought the red and green double matted frame was perfect to finish of this simple fun card. I hand cut a snowy layer and attached to the back of the frame.  I attached the frame over the scene with mounting tape and tucked the little snowman in behind the snow and popped him up on mounting tape for dimension.  I added the tiny star and bow for the finishing touch.  I think this would be a perfect card for a child’s winter birthday or Christmas card.
