Impression Obsession “Friendly Florals” Challenge

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Friendly Florals” design team challenge.  I love creating die cut floral cards.  My project today was made using the newly released Uncaged Bird paired with flowers made using  Tiny Flowers and Spring Wreath.  I added some  extra leaves from the Leaves and Stems set and decorative foliage using cut up sections of the new Vines die to the floral arrangement on the bottom of the cage . The double frames were made using the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames.

I started by attaching the frames to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. I cut two sections of the Uncaged Bird.  The first one was cut in green to use as the base for the birdcage.  The second one was cut using scrap cardstock.  I trimmed off all of the vines, leaves and bird so that all I had left was the  birdcage form.  I applied versa to the cage and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Next I applied Crafter’s Pick Ultimate Glue to the back of the embossed birdcage and attached it to the green base.  The two sections together create a gold birdcage with all of vines and leaves showing in the background. I cut the bird out using the blue cardstock and attached it to the back of the green base with glossy accents.

I cut both Tiny Flowers and the larger flowers from the Spring Wreath in pale pink and lightly applied Worn Lipstick ink to the flower centers using a mini applicator.  I used my stylus and molding pad to form the flowers to add dimension and then attached them with glossy accents to the vine sections of the birdcage

I applied pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birdcage base and attached it to the base of the card and frame.I cut several pieces of the Leaves and Stems, attached flowers to each and attached them with glossy accents to the bottom of the cage to form the floral arrangement.  I cut off some of the curly decorative sections of the Vines and tucked them in around the arrangement and attached with glossy accents.
