Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Coffee, Tea or Me” design team challenge. I love both the Coffee Set and Tea set and have mixed and matched them on projects together several times. I enjoy applying a gold trim to the pieces to add an old-fashioned flair. Today’s project focuses mainly on the Coffee Set but I couldn’t resist using the little spoons from the Tea Set. I used the Vase Set, Leaves and Stems and Spiral Flowers to add another element to the scene to balance.
I started by outlining the edges of mugs and coffee pot with a versa marker and applying gold embossing powder. I wanted the vase to be solid gold and squashed it down into the versa pad and then applied gold embossing powder. I attached a few sprigs of foliage to the back of the vase and finished with one tiny rolled rose. The little napkins and frame were cut using Spellbinder dies.
I attached the frame to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. The coffee pot and vase were attached to the card base using mounting tape. The mugs were attached to the vase using mounting tape. The little napkins were attached at the base of the mugs using glue dots.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing! I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.
