Framed Quatrefoil Flowers

Good Sunday afternoon.  I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend.  One of my favorite color combinations is purple, green and white and I haven’t used it in a while.  I decided to pull out my Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate and pair it with the Impression Obsession Ornate Oval Frame, Foliage and My Favorite Things Leafy Greenery.  Take a close look at my purple flowers because they aren’t flowers at all but are just the leftover scrap pieces that are cut out of the Quatrefoil Cutting Plate.

I cut the quatrefoil frame and the rectangle frame and attached them together with double stick tape.  I attached thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and larger pieces of tape the center section of the quatrefoil section and attached it to the card base. The larger pieces of mounting tape on the back of the quatrefoil  to function as the base for the oval frame.  I attached a die cut oval to the back of the ornate frame and attached it to the card base.

I laid the quatrefoil pieces face down on the molding pad and formed/rounded them with the largest stylus in the Garden Tool Kit.  I flipped them over and pushed down in the center with the smallest stylus tip.  I arranged the foliage and attached with glossy accents.  I applied glossy accents to the back of each flower and attached to the foliage and card base. After the flowers were set in place I tucked a few pieces of small foliage around the flower to fill in the arrangement.  I finished by attaching small snow pearls to the center of each flower.

  1. This card is gorgeous! Would you post a link to the rectangle frame that you used? I’m really inspired to make a similar card, but do not have the rectangle frame die that you used. Thank you.
