Silent Night Nativity

Good Monday morning. I have a fast and easy project to share with you today using the Impression Obsession Manger Set and the Silent Night stamp.

It doesn’t get much easier than this.  I stamped the Silent Night with black versafine .  I attached the song  layer to the black layer with mounting tape. I attached the completed layer to the card base with more mounting tape to add dimension and interest to the simple card.

The die cut images were attached to the base with mounting tape.  I know!  No surprise!!  I love the stuff.  Wish I had stock in 3M.  I buy it by the large 36 yard package of it and keep at least one extra in my stash at all times.  I get a little shaky if I start running out.  LOL!

White on White Winter Scene

Good Sunday morning.  I have a white on white winter scene to share with you today made using the Impression Obsession Small Deer, Fir Trees, Fir Tree Border and framed using the Snowflake Background.  The top frame was cut using the Nesting Card Templates and the oval frame was made using Spellbinders Classic Ovals.

The snowflake background was cut and then I cut an oval opening in it for my scene.  I cut the oval frame and attached it with double stick tape.  I added snow layers to the back of the oval frame along with the back row of fir trees. The larger rectangle frame was attach to the snowflake background with double stick tape. Thin strips of mounting tape were attached to the back of both the rectangle and oval frames and then I attached it to the card base.

The deer and the front fir trees were attached to the scene with mounting tape .  It was hard for me to get good clear pictures that showed all the detail. I took a couple close-ups from both sides to show not only the detail but the dimension of the scene.

I love how this turned out.  There is something so calming to me about all white images against a soft blue background. I think the snowflake frame adds another pretty element of dimension.

Clean and Simple Ornament

Good Saturday morning.  I have a fast and easy ornament card to share with you this morning made using the Impression Obsession Round Ornament set and Pine Pair set. The frame was made using the Nesting Card Templates set and the ornament was embossed with one of the folders in the Starry Night set. I may make a few of these to have on hand when I need an extra card or two.

I wanted the ornament to be the main focus and to show up really well.  I attached the red layer to the card base with strips on mounting tape.  The frame was attached with rolled up strips of double stick tape.  I embossed the ornament and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. The gold ornament topper was attached to the ornament with double stick tape and the hanger was attached with glossy accents.  I wanted the ornament to look like it was hanging from the frame.

I attached the three pine sprigs to the ornament with glossy accents.  The multi loop gingham bow was the finishing touch and was attached with glue dots.

Snowman Tag and Blog Candy Winner

Good Friday morning.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I admit that I ate way too much but Bob and I had a great day together.  We felt especially blessed for Bob to be off for the holiday.  He works for Mickey Mouse and has had to work many of the past holidays.  Before I move on to my project I want to announce the winner of my May Arts ribbon blog candy.  Congratulations to Becky Green.  Becky please send your mailing address to kittie747@cfl.rr.com and I will get your gift in the nail to you.

23 Becky Green said... What a GORGEOUS CARD, Kittie!!! I LOOOVE the addition of the candle in the window to your famous window scene!!! ;) JUST GORGEOUS!!!! Question: Do you make EVERYONE the same Christmas card or do you do different cards for each? AND are each of your cards ELEBORATE, needing special mailing? Just a thought that came to me! ;) As for your question: I use FRESH! Even if the recipe calls for canned, I use fresh. I have several different recipes that I use changing them around each year, so we don't get tired of the same dish. We do have our FAVORITE of those dishes though.... It seems I am always looking for a new & delish cranberry dish too, so I am adding to my list of cranberry dishes as I find them. But, fresh is ALWAYS BEST!!! ;) Reply November 22, 2015 at 11:34 AM

My project today is another tag.  I had several leftover parts and pieces already on my desk to I decided to create a whimsical snowman scene. He is such a precious little guy and he comes with all the pieces you see on with the exception of the bird and tree.  The only thing I didn’t use in the set was the broom.

I cut the tag frame, attached two pieces of ground snow to the back of it with ATG adhesive and then applied mounting tape to the back and attached it to the white tag base.  I didn’t realize that my little snow hills don’t really show in the photo until just now.  The trees were attached to the scene with double stick tape. All the parts and pieces of the snowman were assembled and attached with glossy accents.

The snowman was attached to the scene with mounting tape. The finishing touch was adding the birds and the tiny sparkly star to the little Christmas tree he is holding.
