Oval Wreath and Holly Spray

Good Monday morning.  Have you seen the Creative Expressions new die release over at Ellen’s.  Oh my goodness.  I am in love!  My project today was made using the new Copenhagen set from the Scandinavian Collection and the Holly Sprays.  I think the oval die and coordinating background makes a gorgeous statement with the holly and it was so fast and easy to make.

I cut the green oval and the white background and attached them together with rolled up 1/2” double stick tape. I applied the wreath layer to the red background with mounting tape and then popped the red layer up with another layer of mounting tape for added interest and dimension.

I applied red stickles to the holly spray berries, allowed them to dry.  I lightly formed the holly leaves with my fingers and attached the sprays to the wrath with glossy accents.  I finished by attaching the pretty multi loop bow  for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great week preparing for the Christmas holiday.  I’m finished shopping.  How about you?

Card size:  5.50” x 4.25”  The red layer corners were cut  with retired Fiskars corner edgers.

  1. Incredibly pretty Kittie, Sue has a knack for creating very gorgeous and ornate dies! I bet if she came out with some florals, they’d be over-the-top gorgeous! Your bow is absolute perfection!

  2. So beautiful…I’ve been drooling over the Sue Wilson dies…love these newest sets and how you used them…your card is stunning. Dies are so popular and sure make cardmaking so much more interesting and a lot easier for those of us with arthritic hands…I just hope the dies don’t get any more expensive….

dies are very pricey indeed, but, definately very unique in design. I love how her sets work together though after watching many of her videos.

  4. Good Morning, Kittie. What an unusual wreath die. Awesome, a now on my wish list. this is beautiful so Lacey. Love her new dies, but I agree with Jan, I do hope they don’t get more expensive, which would curtail any purchase. We love creating, but must stay within budgets.
Just an awesome card Kittie, love your bow.

  6. HI Kitty. as always I love this card. I hate to put you through a lot of trouble but would you mind telling me the name of the Fiskars corner punch that you used for this card. I may be able to find a used one, if I knew the name of it. Thank you.

  8. Thank you, Kittie. So this is a scissor instead of a punch. I may have those. Thank you again. I just really like the looks of the corners on this card.
