Vintage Shabby Roses

Please feel free to check out my Accessory Sale

Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site this week was Eglantyne Shop and I was inspired by the gorgeous vintage rose pictured below.

Here’s what I came up with.

KC MFT Layered Rose 4 left
I created the roses with the Layered Rose set forming with my stylus, mat and lots of glossy accents to hold the curled petals in place.  I curled each petal tightly with my stylus until they were all curled in. I used the needle nose pliers to curl some of the petals in more.  I used several layers of the same size flower on the largest rose and two on the smaller roses.  I used one layer of the smallest flower die to create the two little buds at the bottom of the arrangement.

I attached the frame to the card base with mounting tape.  I attached the foliage to the inner frame and then attached the roses in the center.  I added several pieces of the punched branch to soften the spray. Here’s a closer look.

I really love how these roses turned out.  I will definitely be making them again. I think cream would make the prettiest.

Clean and Simple Cream Rose and Accessory Sale

Please feel free to check out my Accessory Sale

Good Saturday morning. I have a fast clean and simple rolled rose project to share with you today.  I pulled out my Floral Embossing Folders Set and paired it with a lovely rose and two leaves to match the embossed background.  I thought the elegant decorative border was perfect to add dimension and interest.

I attached the embossed background on to the card base and applied the decorative border with mounting tape.

I rolled the rose and formed with my needle nose pliers and attached to the border with glossy accents.  I formed the two leaves with my stylus and mat and attached them under the rose with glossy accents. I added a pearl to the rose center for an extra elegant touch.

Blooming Gingham Posies

Good Friday morning. My project today was made for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It Challenge to use gingham.  I love gingham and this gave me the perfect opportunity to pull out my Gingham Cover a Card background stamp.

I stamped the gingham pattern for my my frame base using pink ink and my mega mount.  I created a double matted frame using classic oval dies and mounted the frame the frame on the card base with mounting tape.

I cut the flowers from the leftover pink gingham oval cut out  to create gingham posies to match the frame.  Who wouldn’t want to grow gingham posies.  LOL!

I formed both the flowers and stems with my stylus and mat, arranged them in the oval opening and attached with glossy accents.  I created white pearl centers by using my new Viva Ice White Pearl Pen. It is the first time I used it and I really love how it will allow you to create any size pearl you need for your project.  Here’s a closer view.

I added a small multi loop bow made from pink gingham ribbon for the perfect finishing touch.  I like this card because it is soft, sweet and fairly simple.  It’s perfect for almost any occasion and didn’t take very long to make.

I love using my mega mount for my large background stamps and I wanted to draw your attention to the new mini mount

Impression Obsession Mini Mount

This is a 4 x 5 slightly curved acrylic block with a handle that works great for your larger unmounted rubber and clear stamps.

If you are enjoying a day off work today like me I hope you have a wonderful three day weekend.  I hope you have a blessed Easter.

Pink Polka Dot Bunnies

Good Thursday morning.  I usually try not to use the same images or dies two days in a row but I just couldn’t help myself today.  I am having so much fun playing with the Impression Obsession Bunny Set and making Easter/Spring cards that I just had to make another. Really……have you ever seen bunny dies any cuter than these???This was made for this week’s  Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch for the challenge.

Here’s what I came up with.

I cut and attached the cross sections to the card base with mounting tape. I attached the oval to the the base with another layer of mounting tape. I love creating dimension.

KC IMpression Obsession Bunny Set 4 left

I cut two partial ovals in green with an oval die to fit and create the grass layers. I cut them across the top with deckle scissors and attached grass border sections to the back.  I attached these to the oval frame with mounting tape and created another element of dimension so the bunnies would be on three different layers.  Did that make sense?

I tucked the bunnies into the grass and attached with glue dots and mounting tape.  I created tiny flowers from 1/8” circles formed with my tiny tipped stylus, punched foliage and attached to the neck of each bunny. I cut a section of leafy branch 2, cut them apart, attached tiny flowers,  tucked in behind the bunnies and attached with glossy accents. Here’s a closer view.

I thought pink butterflies would be the perfect finishing touch.  I love how this turned out.  I also love that the bunnies look like they are nestled in an egg shaped grassy scene.

I am so happy you stopped by and I hope you have a great day.  Today is my last day of work this week and I will be off for a three day holiday weekend. Whee!

Monochromatic Bunny Basket

Good Wednesday morning.  My project today was made for the  Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge to make a monochromatic card.

KC Impression Obsession Bunny Set 3 right
I thought the Papertrey Hawaiian Shores pattern pack papers would be perfect for a fun Easter basket card. I used both the polka dot and stripes. I cut the frame base and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. I cut the basket and several sections of the grass tall and grass border.  I inserted grass in between the basket opening as well as in behind it and attached with ATG adhesive.  I placed a piece of mounting tape on the back and attached it to the frame base.

I cut a small strip of paper with deckles scissors and attached two sections of grass border, applied mounting tape to the back and mounted it on the bottom of the frame. I cut the three bunnies, rolled tiny spiral flowers to attach to their neck and attached a couple pieces of the punched branch to finish.

I finished by tucking the bunnies into the grass and attached with mounting tape. Here’s a little closer view even though it isn’t perfectly clear.  Aren’t those bunnies adorable!!!
