Saturday Inspiration

Check out the Price Reductions on my Stamp and Accessory Sale

I always look forward to the SCS Inspiration Challenge. It’s fun to get on up Saturday morning and know I don’t have to go to work and that I can enjoy stamping. Today we were given a Latin American site called LAMA and it had lots of fun stuff to be inspired by. I used the colors of the table cloth pictured below for my first project.  I liked the orange, pink and green with the white background.

KC Lucy & Kitty

I stamped the little Stampavie Sarah Kay Lucy twice on watercolor paper and painted.  I cut out the full image of one girl and just the cat and pinafore portion of the second. I sponged on the light green, yellow and blue scenery on a piece of watercolor paper for the background and added just a few touches of grass sprigs. I created a double frame with oval Nestabilities and attached to the scene with mounting tape. The little girl is so sweet and I thought popping up her head, the cat and top part of her body and allowing her feet to be out of the frame would bring her to life.  I love how she turned out. The tiny Love tag was just the perfect little sentiment for this sweet pair.

My second project was a play off this throw pillow.  Ugh!  I do not like scary skeleton things like in the photo below but I was inspired by the black and white.  I thought it would be fun to do a reverse white on black Halloween project.

KC Halloween Set 1

I stamped these new Rubbernecker Halloween images on black paper with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  The moon is a circle punched piece of white paper and the cat was stamped on white with black ink and black embossing.  I thought this was fun and different take on spooky Halloween images.
